Child Care Benefit and Family Tax Rebate
Unley early learning centre is an approved child care provider which means that our families may be eligible for both the Child Care Benefit (CCB) and the Child Care Rebate (CCR) in relation to their costs for using our centre. It is important to note that while the Child Care Benefit is based on family income, the Child Care Rebate is not income tested.
The Child Care Benefit is income tested and would be paid directly to the centre to reduce the fees charged to eligible families.
The Child Care Rebate is structured to help with covering the out-of-pocket costs of child care. The Rebate is not income tested and would cover up to 50 per cent of out-of-pocket Long Day Care costs, up to $7,500 per child, per year.
It is the responsibility of the parent to register for the Child Care Rebate and the Child Care Benefit before starting at the centre. Information and forms can be accessed from the Family Assistance Office (through Centrelink)
It is imperative that all families with children attending the centre provide their Parent Reference Number, Birth Dates, and Child CRN to receive the rebate on fees.
We charge full fees until Centrelink notifies us of your rebate percentage.
It is the parent’s responsibility to notify Centrelink with any changes to your financial situation which may affect your Child Care Benefit Rate. The Centre processes your child’s attendance information by computer link to CCMS (Commonwealth Government) for calculation of eligibility for Child Care Payment Benefits & when this information is received back from CCMS, you are charged the gap fee.

Fees are paid for each day that your child is booked into the centre, this includes when your child is absent due to holidays or illness. As per our policies, we also require 2 weeks written notice with withdrawing your child from our centre.

Fees must be paid one week in advance to ensure that continuity of care can be guaranteed. Fees can be paid by cash or electronic funds transfer. Accounts are emailed or placed into your child's pockets each week. It is a parent's responsibility to pay their fees on a weekly basis.
Enrolment Bond
A $100.00 enrolment Bond is required to secure your child's position within the centre, this bond is refunded at the termination of care.
